2. Build hangars
ALLIES by default. ENEMIES below (collapsible).
Drag mech → hangar. 1-5 mechs per slot.
Duplicate hangar: click ⋯ on a hangar to copy to another player.
COPY ALLIES on enemies header to mirror your team comp.
3. Place mechs on map
From a hangar → drag onto map. Mech inherits player slot color.
Ad-hoc enemy: drag any mech from Reserve directly onto map. Auto-numbered E1, E2... (numbers reused when freed).
Drag any pin to reposition — its arrows follow naturally.
Hover a pin to reveal the orange halo and a small × top-right. Click × to delete the pin (and any arrows starting from it).
4. Arrows
Mech arrow: hover a pin → mousedown on its orange halo → drag → release on the destination. Color = player slot. Dashed. The arrow stays anchored to its source pin: move the pin and the arrow follows.
Free arrow: click FREE ARROW, then drag on map (mousedown → drag → release). Solid line. Click button again to cycle color (lime → black → red).
Delete an arrow: hover it → red × at the midpoint → click. Click on a free arrow opens a popup to cycle its color.
Double-click on an arrow head: moves the source mech to the arrow's destination and removes the arrow. Mech arrows only. [v0.8]
5. Beacons [v0.8]
Click BEACON in the toolbar, then mousedown on the map and drag to size the marker. Release to commit. ESC cancels.
Drag a placed beacon to reposition. Hover for: ↻ swap color (ally ↔ enemy) · ⎘ clone with same size · × delete. ↘ bottom-right = drag to resize.
Beacons are per-phase and propagate with the auto-clone like everything else.
6. Phases & clear
3 phases. Each phase is a snapshot of mech positions, arrows, and beacons at a moment in time.
First visit auto-clones: opening Phase 2 (or 3) for the first time copies the previous phase's content as a starting point. After that, each phase is independent — modifying Phase 1 later does not affect Phase 2.
Clear button (split): main click = CLEAR ALL (everything in the current phase). The ▾ menu offers granular options:
Clear mechs — removes all pins (allies, enemies, ad-hoc) but keeps arrows and beacons.
Clear mech arrows — removes only mech-from-pin arrows.
Clear free arrows — removes only free arrows.
Clear beacons — removes only beacons. [v0.8]
Reset to previous phase — replaces current content with a fresh copy of the previous phase (note kept).
Each phase has its own footer note (preserved through all clear/reset operations).
7. Layout & sharing
Toggle panels: toolbar buttons (◀ R / H ▶) or panel chevrons or edge tabs when collapsed.
⛶ for fullscreen.
SHARE generates a URL with the full strategy. Recipients can fork (modify their own copy).
